Another Google Algorithm Change To Impact 35% Of Searches: "In practical terms, users will be able to get the very latest result on a particular search based on Google’s perception of the searchers intent. So for example: if a user types in Olympics into Google, the results will return at the very top, all search results relevant to the upcoming 2012 Olympics set for London. Aside from projected events, users will also be able to tap into Google’s tracking of ‘hot topics’ usually found on Google’s dedicated trends page.
The announcement is fresh so it’s hard to gauge webmaster and user feedback, but one thing will hold true going forward: “content will still be king, especially fresh content”."
