Question: Is There a Specific Name for Businesses That Have Multiple Locations?

Question: Is There a Specific Name for Businesses That Have Multiple Locations?: "or example:

- Barnes and Noble has multiple outlets/stores
- TGIFriday's has multiple outlets/restaurants
- TJMaxx has multiple stores

Franchises would not be correct because all are not franchises.
Multiple-location sounds klunky."

    Franchise was the word I was looking for, and I only came up with "retail chain".

    Privately owned and/or group managed retail chains.
